Consistent service, always reliable

I've purchased West's Annotated Code updates from here several times now. This latest order for the 2024 edition was just as smooth as previous ones. The books arrived securely packed and on time, which I've come to expect. It's why I keep coming back for my legal resources.

Quick shipping, good forms

I bought a bundle of Legal Forms, specifically a Real Estate Purchase Agreement and a Lease Agreement. The download was immediate after purchase, which was great. The forms themselves were comprehensive and easy to customize. My only small gripe was finding the exact bundle I needed on the site felt a little clunky at first, but once I did, everything went smoothly. The quality of the content is definitely there for the price.

Good for Westlaw, some hiccups

I signed up for the Westlaw Precision trial last month to compare it with my current service. The sign-up process was straightforward, and I received access credentials quickly. The platform itself is quite powerful, and the Litigation Analytics feature was a standout. However, I did have a minor issue getting one of the sample cases to load correctly, and it took about a day for customer support to get back to me. Once they did, they resolved it easily. Delivery of access was digital, so no physical items. Overall, a solid experience, but support response time could be a tad faster.

Got my Last Will template

Needed a Last Will and Testament Template pretty fast. Found it here, downloaded it right away after paying. It was easy to fill out and totally saved me a trip to a lawyer just for that. Way simpler than I thought it would be, worked out fine.

Anyone know if you can buy just a single legal form, like a lease agreement, or do you have to subscribe to a whole service for that?

C Cody Carter 1 month ago
Pretty sure you can buy individual forms. I remember seeing options for stuff like last will templates and real estate docs without needing a full subscription.

S Sarah Bennett 4 weeks ago
I think so too, they have a whole section for 'Legal Forms' and 'Last Will and Testament Templates', so you should be able to get just one off the shelf, so to speak.

Thinking of getting Westlaw for law school. is there like, a free trial or something so I can try it out before committing?

R Ryan Brooks 1 month ago
Yeah, they totally offer a free trial for Westlaw. I think it's usually like 7-30 days, gives you enough time to mess around with it.

For students, a lot of law schools actually provide access or have special academic pricing. Worth checking with your school's library first, might save you some cash.

Are their physical law books any good? And what's the deal with returns if I buy one and decide it's not what I needed?

C Cleo Q. 1 month ago
Their books are pretty solid, standard legal publisher quality. I've returned a couple before, it was pretty straightforward, just follow the instructions on their site.

G Greg Whitfield 1 month ago
Yeah, they have a return policy. Just make sure you read the fine print about the condition it needs to be in and the timeframe. Don't wait too long.

Hey, I have a coupon code for some law books. Where do I even put that in when I'm checking out on their site? I can't find a box.

E Elena Reyes 1 month ago
It should be on the checkout page, usually toward the end before you confirm your payment. Sometimes it's a small link that says 'add promo code' or something similar.

If it's for books, you should definitely find a spot. For their software stuff like Westlaw, they don't really do public promo codes, it's more about trials or direct quotes. So if it's a book, keep looking on the payment screen.

Between Westlaw and LexisNexis, which one do most people prefer for legal research? What are the main differences?

B Brett Osei 4 weeks ago
It's like Coke vs. Pepsi, honestly. Both are powerful. Westlaw is generally considered a bit more intuitive for some people, but Lexis has its fans too. Westlaw Precision is their newer, souped-up version if you're looking at that.

I've used both extensively. Westlaw's interface feels cleaner to me, especially Westlaw Edge. LexisNexis has a ton of content too, sometimes it comes down to what your firm or school already subscribes to.
